PROJECT OVERVIEW

This activity stems from our team’s question on how can we utilize technology to enhance vacationers’ shared family experience. We wanted to do this in a way that wouldn’t isolate them from their social settings. From this we created an experience where guests staying at the Nickelodeon Resort in Riviera Maya can learn various skills in an interactive multi-cultural class experience.

Guests can learn subjects such as cooking, art, and athletics from their favorite Nickelodeon characters either in class or through a digital experience in their hotel rooms. The characters are able to react to the audience in real time to make each class different from the previous.

The Problems

What if there was a way to utilize technology to enhance the shared family experience without isolating them from their social setting?

The Solution

Interactive class experiences lead by popular Nickelodeon cartoon characters.

Inspiration

Our final product was inspired by a couple of attractions based in Disney’s theme parks. This is due to Disney World being known for their rides interacting and engaging with its audience.
